MARILYN MONROE 100
Happy Birthday, Marilyn Monroe! We will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the 20th-century icon with a large summer exhibition in our Gallery. The exhibition will include 270 photographs by 31 renowned authors and more than 30 works by famous American and Czech painters. An integral part of the exhibition will also be personal items that offer an intimate insight into Marilyn Monroe's private life.
PUBLIKACE
As part of the Marilyn Monroe celebrations, we have prepared a number of surprises for you. One of them is a publication by our Gallery, which presents a multi-layered portrait of one of the most prominent personalities of the 20th century – an actress, a myth and a cultural phenomenon. In 250 pages, we will offer you a comprehensive insight into the life, career and legacy of Marilyn Monroe.

CURRENT EXHIBITION:
The latest ART DECO collection features paintings inspired by the era and women of the 1920s and 1930s. The abstract and fantastical works stem from the artist's inner perception of the world around her and are created under the influence of her current mood and disposition. The portraits, on the other hand, faithfully capture reality, which the artist sensitively complements with elements from the surrounding environment that best express the personality and expression of the portrayed person.

For wine lovers, we have prepared a tasting of high-quality Mosel wines, where you can look forward to expert explanations about individual grape varieties and wine regions in a pleasant atmosphere.
Part of the Marilyn Monroe 100 project is the parallel exhibition cycle Women in Art in the Gothic Hall of the Czech Gallery of Modern Art. This unique accompanying project will present eight contemporary artists throughout the exhibition, who will successively present solo exhibitions at two-week intervals.

A wine shop with wine from the Moselle in the heart of Prague is open! In the Gothic cellar of the Czech Gallery of Modern Art at Betlémské náměstí 8, we offer a selection of more than 50 wines from the German Moselle. Come and taste wines with a story – during opening hours or for a guided tasting.
We are a relatively young Prague gallery, yet in our collections you will find giants of Czech and world art of the 20th century.
