Blanka Adensamová (* November 24, 1949, Turnov) is a painter, glass artist, designer and sculptor. She studied in the glass studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Prof. Stanislav Libenský. Her glass sculptures are represented in prestigious collections around the world. Since 1994, she has had a permanent exhibition of her sculptures in Japan.
Blanka Adensamová considers herself a romantic, closely connected to nature. Her main theme is glass sculpture. During her creative years, she has gone through several directions, which is why glass beauty has diverse manifestations in her concept. Lyricism and romanticism, mysticism, contrasts, dreams and reality, these are the themes that she captures in her work. Her works have a light effect, the author is able to capture the transformation of glowing glass mass into crystal ice in a short moment. Her uniqueness also lies in the technique she uses. "In essence, fused sculpture is the most difficult, most expensive, and most complex aspect of glass art," says the artist. The production of one sculpture takes several months or even years. It is not only physically demanding, but also time-consuming.
