Silvie Kořistková is a Czech visual artist whose work balances between abstraction and figuration. She focuses on landscape as an inner state – a space of memory, experience, and perception that can manifest through abstract forms, portraits, and animal motifs. Her paintings are not descriptions of concrete reality but rather a record of process, tension, and transformation.
She primarily works with acrylics, often directly with her fingers, in direct contact with the material. Structure, layering, and intuitive decision-making during painting play an important role in her work. The resulting paintings carry significant weight, traces of the process, and the physical presence of color.
