SILVIE KOŘISTKOVÁ
Silvie Kořistková is a Czech visual artist whose work operates on the border between abstraction and figuration. She focuses on landscape as an internal state – a space of memory, experience, and perception that can manifest through abstract form, portraiture, and animal motifs. Her paintings are not descriptions of concrete reality but rather a record of process, tension, and transformation.
She primarily works with acrylics, often directly with her fingers, in direct contact with the material. Structure, layering, and intuitive decision-making during painting play an important role in her work. The resulting paintings bear significant weight, a trace of the process, and the physical presence of color.
Her work features abstract landscapes, portraits, and animal figures, which are not understood as standalone motifs but as part of a broader space. The landscape here functions as a carrier of memory and internal experience, while the figure – human or animal – becomes its natural component.
She has been active on the art scene since 2018. She regularly exhibits in the Czech Republic and abroad (Austria, USA, Italy, Spain, Poland, Slovenia, Qatar, Germany). Her works are represented in private collections worldwide. In 2023, she received an award from an international jury at the Premio Internazionale d’Arte in Italy. She collaborates with The Gallery STEINER Vienna, which represented her at a prestigious exhibition in Miami in 2024.
She is a member of SALVADOR CLUB (AAMI Corporation).
In 2026, she was chosen as an art ambassador for the Czech Republic at the 9th edition of the Art Connects Women competition, held under the patronage of UNESCO in Dubai, on the theme of Education to Empower Women.
She regularly participates in charity projects. She works in her studio and gallery in Orlová, Czech Republic.
