OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION IT IS WHAT IT IS | TEREZA KOVANDOVÁ
The exhibition title "It is what it is" speaks for itself. I don't try to confine my work to one style or define it unambiguously.
I enjoy experimenting with different media, combining analog and digital creation, mixing vibrant colors, and working with finding form in random shapes. In addition to drawing and painting, I also engage in animation, which I studied at FAMU.
For this exhibition, I have selected personal works that best represent the creation closest to me at the moment. Thematically, these include nature, landscapes, animals, and human characters. I usually avoid overly realistic depiction, relying instead on intuition, memory, and spontaneous stylization.
