VEČERNÍ ČTENÍ S MILONĚM ČEPELKOU | 24. 3. 2026

AN EVENING READING WITH MILOŇ ČEPELKA | 24 March 2026

On the evening of March 24, 2026, we embarked on a literary journey inspired by the unique world of Bohumil Hrabal.

On the occasion of the exhibition by Josef Jíra and Jaroslav Fian: Bohumil Hrabal's Pábitelé, readings from the books of the Czech prose writer and one of the most significant and distinctive writers of the second half of the 20th century, Bohumil Hrabal, took place at the Czech Gallery of Modern Art.

Cimrmanologist Miloň Čepelka read to us from the books Cutting It Short, Closely Watched Trains, and Too Loud a Solitude with his unmistakable voice.

As one might say in the spirit of Hrabal:
"The world is beautiful precisely because it is not perfect. And because it contains stories worth telling."
