About the Author:
Veronika Manukjan's work represents both a visual and personal response to the oversaturation of contemporary life. The artist employs purity, structure, and light on monochrome canvases, where color is replaced by relief and light reflection. It is precisely the structure and its variability under the influence of light that become a metaphor for the transience of the present moment – a theme that is a constant inspiration for the artist.
Veronika Manukjan creates relief paintings, working with matter, structure, and light as fundamental building blocks. Her work focuses on silence, harmony, and depth. She is interested in what lies beneath the surface – in the material, in space, and in the very perception of the image. She draws inspiration from Zen philosophy and the rhythm of nature, its natural balance and flow.
Light is a key component of her work – it transforms the relief, highlights details, and gives the painting a mutable character. The work thus reacts to architecture and the surrounding environment.
Her work is utilized in private interiors, development projects, and gallery contexts.
She studied multimedia at the College of Higher Education in Jihlava, and her works are part of private collections in the Czech Republic and abroad, from New York to Dubai.
