About the author:
Marina Richter (*1962) is a graphic artist, painter, and creator of Czech and international stamps. She was born in Moscow, where she studied at a French lyceum and the Secondary School of Applied Arts, specializing in miniatures and icons. Since 1983, she has lived and worked in Prague.
In 1990, she graduated from UMPRUM with a degree in illustration and graphic design. She currently focuses on free graphic art, ex libris creation, drawing, and illustration. In her graphic work, she uses various techniques, primarily lithography, which she prints in the workshop of master Petr Korbelář. Her works are masterpieces, as seen in her ex libris and free graphic art.
Thematically, Marina Richter combines classical Japanese woodcut forms with the lithography technique. Many of her subjects also come from antiquity, the Middle Ages, or mysticism. Her artistic signature is clear and distinct, and her works are part of private collections in many countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, and Russia.
