About the artist:
Františka Jelenová is a Czech artist. She studied at the Secondary Art School of Textile Crafts in Prague, specializing in fashion design. Her studies at this school provided her with a strong craftsmanship foundation not only in drawing itself but also in other artistic disciplines. After graduation, she began to use these skills in her free drawing and painting, largely inspired by the fantasy genre. A distinctive feature of her prints, watercolors, and drawings is exceptional craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail. Currently, she focuses on creating lithographs, ex libris for Czech and foreign collectors, and illustrating. Together with her father, graphic artist Oldřich Jelen, and her mother, academic painter, graphic artist, and restorer Veronika Jelenová, she has formed a team that mutually complements and enriches each other on family projects.
