About the artist:
In her work, Tereza Kovandová experiments with various media and naturally combines analogue and digital processes. She works with distinctive colours, spontaneity, and the search for forms in random shapes and structures. Besides drawing and painting, she has also been dedicated to animation for a long time, which she studied at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).
In her current work, she focuses thematically on motifs of nature, landscapes, animals, and human characters. Instead of realistic depiction, she prefers an intuitive approach based on memory, imagination, and spontaneous stylization.
