About the author:
In her work, Tereza Kovandová experiments with various media, naturally combining analogue and digital techniques. She uses vibrant colours, spontaneity, and explores forms in random shapes and structures. Besides drawing and painting, she has also been dedicated to animation for a long time, which she studied at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).
In her current work, she focuses thematically on motifs of nature, landscapes, animals, and human characters. Instead of realistic depiction, she prefers an intuitive approach based on memory, imagination, and spontaneous stylization.
