About the artist:
Tereza Kovandová experiments with various media in her work, naturally combining both analogue and digital processes. She works with strong colours, spontaneity and the search for forms in random shapes and structures. Besides drawing and painting, she has also been dedicated to animation for a long time, which she studied at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).
In her current work, she focuses thematically on motifs of nature, landscapes, animals and human characters. Instead of realistic depiction, she prefers an intuitive approach based on memory, imagination and spontaneous stylisation.
