About the artist:
In her work, Tereza Kovandová experiments with various media and naturally connects analog and digital processes. She works with distinctive colors, spontaneity, and the search for forms in random shapes and structures. Besides drawing and painting, she has also long been involved in animation, which she studied at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).
In her current work, she thematically focuses on motifs of nature, landscapes, animals, and human characters. Instead of realistic depiction, she prefers an intuitive approach based on memory, imagination, and spontaneous stylization.
