About the artist:
In her work, Tereza Kovandová experiments with various media, naturally combining analogue and digital techniques. She uses strong colours, spontaneity and seeks forms in random shapes and structures. In addition to drawing and painting, she has also been involved in animation for a long time, which she studied at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).
In her current work, she thematically focuses on motifs of nature, landscapes, animals and human characters. Instead of realistic depiction, she prefers an intuitive approach based on memory, imagination and spontaneous stylization.
