Giclée 21x29.7 cm, frame 30x40 cm, limited edition work, blind embossing FIAN
About the author:
Jaroslav Fian was a shy and introverted person who did not seek fame. He lived his life in modest conditions in Olomouc, Moravia, where he created his works for a small circle of fans and collectors, anxiously avoiding any media exposure and public presentation of his art.
This makes his work all the more captivating. In it, you will find a fantastical world of old times, feminine beauty, and the Parisian Belle Époque, which he loved, even though he never visited Paris himself.
Jaroslav Fian was born in the war year 1941 in Olomouc, where he lived his entire life. He concluded his life's journey at the blessed age of 83 (not quite reached) in 2023, without ever holding a major exhibition during his lifetime, despite numerous offers from galleries and collectors of his work.
We decided to rectify this "injustice," and after Mr. Fian's passing, we began to collect his works from private collections known to us, so that we could present them to you in a comprehensive collection that allows us to remember and pay tribute to this exceptional person and artist, at least in this way.
Jaroslav Fian's works are virtually unavailable on the market and cannot be purchased anywhere outside of private collections. Because we do not want to conclude the memory of Mr. Fian with a single exhibition, we have, with the consent of the copyright holder, prepared an offer of selected works in a limited edition as giclées, which you can not only view but also purchase in our Gallery. All published works are numbered and provided with a certificate and a blind embossed stamp JF.
