About the author:

Marina Richter (*1962) is a graphic artist, painter, and creator of Czech and international stamps. She was born in Moscow, where she studied at a French lyceum and the Secondary School of Applied Arts, specializing in miniatures and icons. Since 1983, she has lived and worked in Prague.

In 1990, she graduated from UMPRUM in illustration and graphic design. Currently, she focuses on free graphics, creating ex-libris, drawing, and illustration. In her graphic work, she utilizes not only etching techniques but primarily dedicates herself to lithography, which she prints in the workshop of master Petr Korbelář. Her works are masterpieces, evident in her ex-libris and free graphic prints.

Thematically, Marina Richter combines classical Japanese woodcut forms with the lithography technique. Many of her subjects also draw from antiquity, the Middle Ages, or mysticism. Her artistic signature is clear and distinct, and her works are part of private collections in many countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, and Russia.
