Giclée 21x29.7 cm, frame 30x40 cm, limited edition work, embossed print FIAN
About the artist:
Jaroslav Fian was a shy and introverted person who did not seek fame. He lived a modest life in Olomouc, Moravia, where he created his works for a small circle of fans and collectors, meticulously avoiding any media attention or public presentation of his art.
This makes his work all the more captivating. In it, you will find a fantastic world of old times, feminine beauty, and the Parisian Belle Epoque, which he loved, even though he never visited Paris himself.
Jaroslav Fian was born in the war year 1941 in Olomouc, where he spent his entire life. He passed away in 2023 at the blessed age of 83, just short of his 84th birthday, without ever holding a major exhibition during his lifetime, despite numerous offers from galleries and collectors of his work.
We decided to rectify this “injustice,” and after Mr. Fian's passing, we began collecting his works from private collections known to us, so that we could present them to you in a comprehensive collection, allowing us to remember and pay tribute to this exceptional man and artist, at least in this way.
Jaroslav Fian's works are practically unavailable on the market and, apart from private collections, cannot be purchased anywhere. Because we don't want to close the memory of Mr. Fian with a single exhibition, with the consent of the copyright holder, we have prepared an offer of selected works in a limited giclée edition for you, which you can not only view but also purchase in our Gallery. All published works are numbered and provided with a certificate and an embossed JF stamp.
