About the author:

Jaroslav Fian was a shy and introverted person who did not seek fame, and lived his life in humble conditions in Olomouc, Moravia, where he created his works for a narrow circle of fans and collectors, and meticulously avoided any media exposure or public presentation of his work.

His work, however, is all the more captivating. In it, you will find a fantastic world of old times, female beauty, and the Parisian Belle Époque, which he loved, even though he himself never visited Paris.

Jaroslav Fian was born in the war year 1941 in Olomouc, where he lived his entire life. He ended his life's journey at the blessed age of not-quite 83 in 2023, without ever holding a major exhibition during his lifetime, despite having numerous offers from galleries and collectors of his work.

We decided to rectify this injustice, and after Mr. Fian's passing, we began to collect his works from private collections known to us, so that we could present them to you in a comprehensive collection, which will allow us to remember and pay tribute to this exceptional person and author in this way.

Jaroslav Fian's works are practically non-existent on the market and, apart from private collections, it is practically impossible to buy them anywhere. Because we do not want to conclude the memory of Mr. Fian with a single exhibition, with the consent of the copyright holder, we have prepared for you an offer of selected works in a limited edition in the form of giclée, which you can not only view but also purchase in our Gallery. All published works are numbered and provided with a certificate and a blind stamp JF.
