Lithograph 34.5x45 cm including frame, numbered 72/85, signed Marina Richter

About the artist:

Marina Richter (*1962) is a graphic artist, painter, and creator of Czech and international stamps. She was born in Moscow, where she studied at a French lycée and at the Secondary School of Applied Arts, specializing in miniatures and icons. Since 1983, she has lived and worked in Prague.

In 1990, she graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, specializing in illustration and graphic design. Currently, she focuses on free graphics, ex-libris creation, drawing, and illustration. In graphic art, she uses etching techniques, but she primarily devotes herself to lithography, which she prints in the workshop of master Petr Korbelář. These are masterpieces, as seen in her ex-libris and free graphic works.

Thematically, Marina Richter combines classical Japanese woodcut forms with the technique of lithography. Many of her subjects are also from antiquity, the Middle Ages, or mysticism. Her artistic style is clear and distinct, and her works are part of private collections in many countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, and Russia.
