About the author:

Marina Richter (*1962) is a graphic artist, painter, and creator of Czech and foreign stamps. She was born in Moscow, where she graduated from a French lycée and the Secondary School of Applied Arts, specializing in miniature and icon painting. Since 1983, she has lived and worked in Prague.

In 1990, she graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, specializing in illustration and graphic design. Currently, she focuses on free graphic art, creating ex libris, drawing, and illustration. In printmaking, she uses not only etching techniques but primarily dedicates herself to lithography, which she prints in the workshop of master Petr Korbelář. These are masterworks, as evidenced, for example, in her ex libris and free graphic art.

Thematically, Marina Richter connects classical Japanese woodcut forms with the lithography technique. Many of her subjects also draw from antiquity, the Middle Ages, or mysticism. Her artistic style is clear and distinct, and her works are part of private collections in many countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, the USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, and Russia.
