About the artist:
Františka Jelenová is a Czech artist. She studied at the Secondary School of Textile Crafts in Prague, specializing in fashion design. Her studies at this school gave her a solid craft foundation not only in drawing itself but also in other artistic disciplines. After graduation, she began to use these skills in her free drawing and painting work, largely inspired by the fantasy genre.
A distinctive feature of her graphics, watercolors, and drawings is exceptional craftsmanship and an eye for detail. She currently focuses on creating lithographs, ex-libris for Czech and foreign collectors, and illustrating. Together with her father, graphic artist Oldřich Jelen, and her mother, academic painter, graphic artist, and restorer Veronika Jelenová, she has formed a team that complements and enriches each other on family projects.
