Giclée 21x29.7 cm, frame 30x40 cm, work in a limited edition, blind embossed FIAN
About the artist:
Jaroslav Fian was a shy and introverted person who did not seek fame, and lived his life in humble conditions in Olomouc, Moravia, where he created his works for a small circle of fans and collectors, anxiously avoiding any media exposure and public presentation of his work.
However, his work is all the more captivating. In it, you will find a fantastic world of old times, feminine beauty, and the Parisian Belle Epoque, which he loved, even though he never visited Paris himself.
Jaroslav Fian was born in the war year of 1941 in Olomouc, where he lived his entire life. He concluded his life's journey at the blessed age of 83, in 2023, without ever having a major exhibition during his lifetime, despite numerous offers from galleries and collectors of his work.
We decided to rectify this “injustice,” and after Mr. Fian's passing, we began collecting his works from private collections known to us, so that we could present them to you in a cohesive collection that allows us to remember and pay tribute to this exceptional person and artist, at least in this way.
Jaroslav Fian's works are practically unavailable on the market, and outside of private collections, it is almost impossible to purchase them anywhere. Because we do not want to close the memory of Mr. Fian with a single exhibition, with the consent of the copyright holder, we have prepared an offer of selected works in a limited giclée edition, which you can not only view but also purchase in our Gallery. All published works are numbered and provided with a certificate and a blind embossed JF stamp.
