About the author:
Veronika Jelenová (*1972) is a Czech artist and restorer. She studied at the Secondary School of Graphic Arts in Prague, specializing in conservation and restoration of paper and bookbinding. She then graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, where she specialized in the restoration of paintings under the supervision of Prof. Karel Stretti.
After a brief period at the National Gallery, she has been dedicated to her own artistic creation and freelance restoration. In addition to commissioned portraits, in recent years she has focused on color lithography, especially ex libris (Petr Korbelář's Lithographic Workshop). She collaborates on art projects with her husband, graphic artist Oldřich Jelen, and her daughter, artist Františka Jelenová.
