About the author:
Veronika Jelenová (*1972) is a Czech artist and restorer. She studied at the Secondary Industrial School of Graphic Arts in Prague, specializing in the conservation and restoration of paper and bookbinding. She then graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, where she specialized in the restoration of paintings under the supervision of Professor Karel Stretti.
After a short period at the National Gallery, she dedicated herself to independent artistic creation and freelance restoration. In addition to commissioned portraits, in recent years she has focused on color lithography, especially ex libris (Petr Korbelář's Lithographic Workshop). She collaborates on artistic projects with her husband, graphic artist Oldřich Jelen, and her daughter, artist Františka Jelenová.
