Giclée 21x29.7 cm, frame 30x40 cm, limited edition work, FIAN blind embossing
About the author:
Jaroslav Fian was a shy and introverted person who did not seek fame, and lived his life in modest conditions in Olomouc, Moravia, where he created his works for a small circle of fans and collectors, and meticulously avoided any media exposure and public presentation of his work.
However, his work is all the more captivating. In it, you will find a fantastic world of old times, feminine beauty, and the Parisian Belle Époque, which he loved, even though he himself never visited Paris.
Jaroslav Fian was born in the war year of 1941 in Olomouc, where he lived his entire life. He concluded his life's journey at the blessed age of not quite 83 years in 2023, without ever holding a large exhibition during his lifetime, even though he had numerous offers from galleries and collectors of his work.
We have decided to rectify this “injustice,” and after Mr. Fian's passing, we began collecting his works from private collections known to us, so that we can present them to you in a comprehensive collection that will allow us to remember this exceptional person and author and pay tribute to him at least in this way.
Jaroslav Fian's works are practically unavailable on the market and outside private collections, it is almost impossible to buy them anywhere. Because we do not want to conclude the memory of Mr. Fian with just one exhibition, with the consent of the copyright holder, we have prepared an offer of selected limited edition works in the form of giclée, which you can not only view in our Gallery but also purchase. All published works are numbered and provided with a certificate and a blind embossed JF stamp.
