About the author:
Andy Warhol - SK/USA (1928-1987).
American painter, graphic artist, filmmaker, and leading figure of the Pop Art movement. Like his contemporaries Roy Lichtenstein and Mel Ramos, Warhol reacted to the mass media culture of the 1960s. His screen prints of cultural and consumer icons (Marilyn Monroe, Mickey Mouse, Campbell soup...) themselves became icons and made him one of the most famous artists of his generation. In his studio "The Factory," film stars, models, and artists gathered, who themselves became "fodder" for his prints and films. His works are represented in the most important galleries worldwide.
