JAKUB ŠPAŇHEL

Jakub Špaňhel (b. 1976) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studios of Jiří David and Milan Knížák. His extraordinary talent quickly began to attract attention during his studies in Ostrava and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.

He is one of the leading representatives of contemporary Czech painting. His expressive-realistic canvases process a diverse range of traditional themes and are characterized by a dynamic structure and distinctive color palette. Jakub Špaňhel has participated in many important exhibitions and has had many solo shows.

He uses various painting techniques, but his work often includes large canvases and expressive portrayals of themes. His works are represented in the collections of many prestigious public institutions and private entities.
