SILVIE KOŘISTKOVÁ EXHIBITION
The exhibition presents three interconnected authorial series — Latency, Interspace, and Feel the Feelings. Although each of them works with a different visual language, they are all united by an interest in the inner world of man, the variability of identity, and the relationship between emotion, space,
and consciousness.
The Latency series captures silent moments of human existence — moments when emotions are just being born or, conversely, fading away. The portraits are not depictions of specific people, but archetypal states of mind. Gentle layering of colors and structures creates space for introspection and personal interpretation by the viewer.
The Interspace series presents abstract structures oscillating between architecture, landscape, and the inner map of consciousness. Geometric forms symbolize order, while organic interventions and layering disrupt their stability. The paintings capture a moment of transformation — the space between creation and decay, between certainty and uncertainty.
The Feel the Feelings series presents abstract portraits of women as images of emotions. These are not portraits of specific people, but visual records of inner experiences, vulnerability, strength, and silence. The painting is created intuitively, primarily with fingers, with a distinctive relief structure that connects physical touch with emotional imprint. Each painting invites the viewer not only to recognize the emotion but, above all, to experience it.
Together, all three series create a dialogue between man and space – between what is visible and what remains hidden. The exhibition invites the visitor to slow down, perceive detail, and find their own meanings in paintings that are not definitive answers but open questions.
