
Vernissage of the exhibition Zdeněk Burian: 120 Years | My Own Way
On December 17, 2025, the opening of the exhibition Zdeněk Burian: 120 years | His Own Way took place at the Czech Gallery of Modern Art.
The festive evening was attended by President Václav Klaus, who was guided through the exhibition by the collection owner, Ing. Milan Velek.
Actor and member of Studio Ypsilon Martin Dejdar recited the famous poem "If" from Rudyard Kipling's collection Barrack-Room Ballads, which adorned the desks of writers such as Ferdinand Peroutka and statesman and first president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk.
Other prominent guests who did not miss the opening of this unique exhibition included actor, lyricist, musician and member of Studio Ypsilon Jan Jiráň, former Czechoslovak national football player Antonín Panenka, oncologist Prof. MUDr. Petruželka CSc., and artists Oldřich Jelen, Veronika Jelenová, and Františka Jelenová.
The exhibition will run from December 18, 2025, to February 1, 2026.
